Tyrone Adams Named CEO of the Colorado Association of REALTORS®

Tyrone Adams CAR CEOENGLEWOOD, Colo. – March 31, 2015 – The Colorado Association of REALTORS® (CAR) announced today that Tyrone Adams has been appointed CEO of the state’s largest real estate trade organization, effective immediately. Adams, who originally joined the CAR staff in 1993, has served in a variety of roles over the past two decades including his most recent stint as vice president of member services.

In his new role, he will be responsible for all aspects of the 21,000-plus member association of REALTORS® with oversight of the organization’s strategic mission, operations, finances, member services, communications and government relations.

Throughout his CAR career, Adams has been instrumental in the development and implementation of numerous consumer and member-focused programs, education and research initiatives, communications strategies for business and government relations issues, a long-term consumer awareness program, as well as oversight of the association’s annual meeting and convention.

“We’re very excited to tap into the decades of knowledge, accomplishments and passion that Tyrone brings to our association as CEO,” said CAR Chairman David Barber. “His direct experience with our association, from the leadership team to our members and affiliates throughout our state, will be a tremendous benefit to CAR as we continue to create and deliver the best member services and benefits statewide.”

A graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Adams is a REALTOR® Certified Executive (RCE) and a Certified Association Executive (CAE). In addition, he is an active volunteer with numerous community organizations serving children and adults throughout the region.
